I finally got some of the art up that I promised. There are still some others in another sketch book that I didn't scan...I really need to get a better scanner.
Recently my eyes have been opened to a new way of looking at drawing. And I'm really working on my sketching, which I've had issues with in the past. I just always wanted to finish a drawing, and I couldn't stand having undefined lines and shapes. but I see how it can help develop skill, and it is a lot faster, so I'm working with that now.
I would like to start doing some digital art...however I lack the necessary program (and the very much desired tablet) and also the funds with which to purchase said objects. So, for right now, there probably won't be much digital art from me, if any.
Well, I've run out of things to say and time to say them in, so until later!
じゃ また あと で!!

I'm BAAAAACK
So I just realized that my old journal entry from before I left for Basic was still posted on my page. And we can't have that!
I'm back home, after 7 long months of training. I'm now trying to find an apartment and a vehicle of my own, and am looking forward to being completely independent. I'm looking into going ROTC at my college, and I can't wait to start my classes back up again, including Japanese! I have become quite rusty; I really need to review my kanji and conjugations!
I've done a lot of sketches and such since I've been gone, and I recently purchased my own scanner, so I'll actually be able to upload them when I choose! I think
Leaving...
Hi everyone!!!
First let me say thanks to everyone who faves my art, watches me, or just takes a look at my art! I really appreciate all the support and compliments I've received. Just knowing that people around the world are viewing my art gives me goosebumps :D And motivates me to improve.
I wanted to post my status in this journal entry because I will be headed out-of-state for quite a while and, at least for the first two months, I won't have any internet access and even less time to actually draw. What's going on, you ask? Well, I'm leaving for Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for Army National Guard Basic Training (Boot Camp). That will last two
Short note...
This is just a quick little note.
In my art from now on I'm determined not to have any "flat" or "straight" poses. I noticed that a lot of my old work is either drawn full-frontal, or straight profile, with no play on positioning and perspective. Well, that's all changing. From now on, I'm determined not to have straight-up flat drawings. I will include perspective, or at the very least some different positioning.
When I say this, I'm referring to my drawings of people; since that's pretty much all I really draw...but I hope I will be able to apply this to all of my artwork :D
And that's pretty much all I had to say...Other than I LOVE MY
